Night Cream Recalled for Fungus

January 3rd, 2012

Two batches of Organique Nourishing Night Cream were recalled due to fears of a contamination of the staphylococcus aureus bacteria and fungus. A random sampling of the product revealed microbes, which was traced back to the bottle’s pump components that were made by another company. Despite the microbes not resulting in any illnesses or injuries, yet, the company has announced a recall due to the possibility of infection amongst those with skin wounds or compromised immune systems as a precaution. Another batch was recalled even though it did not test positive for bacteria. The product was sold across the country in a teal bottle and orange cap. The affected product has a specific batch number that is located on the bottom of every bottle. Customers are urged to return to the recalled product for a full refund, according to news reports.
