Hello everyone,
With the cold weather around, my skin tends to feel tight and uncomfortable, so I was looking for a heavier than usual night cream, and while browsing the Boots aisles (yes, I do that a lot, it is a disease), I saw Sanctuary had a night concentrate in sample format. A 10ml squeezy tube, pink body and white lid, costing only €3 it is just the perfect way to test a product out without committing to the big one.
It says “Youth boosting facial, a rich moisturiser to help plump and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Easily absorbed, rich cream, extremely hydrating to help make skin feel and look years younger. While you sleep, a nourishing blend of cocoa butter and pomegranate oil help to maintain moisture levels. Cell-renewing fruit acids and antioxidant green tea help you wake up with skin feeling firmer and looking younger”. Yes, all of that written on a tiny little tube!
A rich white cream, it spreads like a dream but needs to be massaged into your skin for a minute before it is fully absorbed, but the smell and smooth consistency makes it a very easy and relaxing experience, almost like giving yourself a mini facial before going to bed. It smells like lavender, a scent known to be relaxing and helping you sleep, which may be the reason why my grandmother used to put a lavender bag under my pillow when I was sleeping at her place.
After using it for three weeks I cannot see any wrinkle being plumped nor years being taken off the look of my skin, but I do wake up with smooth skin that feels hydrated and not greasy, it did not cause me to break out and does not leave any greasy mark on my pillow.
I will not buy the full size version of this because it comes in a pot and I do not like it, however I will certainly repurchase the small samples, that is if I do not find a nice cream coming in a tube instead of a pot!
