Recall: Himalaya Nourishing Night Cream | nayagr.com

January 10th, 2012 by admin

A recall has been issued for Himalaya® Nourishing Night Cream batch #S691001 and batch #S691002, after the presence of bacteria staphylococcus aureus and fungus were found to be present in samples of the product. The type of bacteria can reportedly be found frequently in nature and the environment, however it may become opportunistic in those with weakened immune systems or if it is introduced to broken skin. The product was recalled after the source of the contamination was traced back to the bottle’s pump, which was reportedly supplied by a third party manufacturer. Out of an abundance of caution, the company is including batch #S691002 in the recall, even though no contamination was found to be present.

There have been no reports of injury to date.

As a burlingame personal injury lawyer, I urge consumers that have purchased a recalled product to stop using it immediately and learn more about the potential risks associated with it.
