KORRES Quercetin & Oak Eye & Night Cream, Wild Rose Face ...

A few months ago I walked into my local Shoppers Drug Mart and was shocked and delighted to see a KORRES display. I had heard many good rumblings about KORRES through the years but had never tried their products. I was lucky enough to be contacted by Korres to review some of the line now that they have arrived in Canada. I've been testing the products for a month and they did not disappoint.

First up are two products from the Quercetin & Oak Antiaging Antiwrinkle Line.

Quercetin & Oak Eye Cream and Night Cream

Inspired by a NOBEL-awarded discovery on cell aging and fueled by two of nature’s
most powerful antiageing agents,  KORRES™  Quercetin & Oak is a clinically proven natural alternative to Retinol. It is so effective, that in independent clinical testing, Quercetin & Oak provided better, faster results than a leading luxurydepartment store brand and a leading dermatologist brand.

The eye cream in formulated to minimize the appearance of under eye darkness and puffiness. It is for all skin types and retails for $55 CAD.

This is a wonderful eye cream. It is very moisturizing yet it is not greasy and absorbs quickly making it a nice option of daytime as well. I had no issues using this under my eye makeup. It left my my eye area hydrated and firm. 

Additional actives are:

• Myrtle extract agent / anti-aging booster, helps to improve skin elasticity
• Mourera fluviatilis extract / has moisture-binding activity, which helps maintain the skin’s water levels
• Baobab polysaccharides / leaves skin looking and feeling firmer
• Rhodiola rosea extract / helps prevent the appearance of dark circles and eye puffiness

The night cream is formulated to provide intense nourishment throughout the night. It is for all skin types and retails for $59 CAD.

Additional actives are:

• Myrtle extract agent / anti-aging booster, helps to improve skin elasticity
• Mourera fluviatilis extract / has moisture-binding activity, which helps maintain the skin’s water levels
• Jojoba, Grape and Pomegranate oils / provide nourishment throughout the night

I really liked this night cream. So rich, thick, and moisturizing yet it absorbs quickly and is in no way greasy. I actually used this several times as a day cream because my skin is dry year round and winter is particularly hard on it. The Quercetin & Oak products have a really unique scent that is very nice. 

Wild Rose Face and Eye Serum

Brightening and Smoothing for all skin types $49 CAD

 

An ultra-concentrated vitamin C serum that brightens and smoothes the look of fine lines of face and eyes, suitable for all skin types. This formula, with Baobab-tree polysaccharide, in combination with a wheat proteins agent, provides a line-smoothing effect while reducing the appearance of wrinkles. Wild Rose oil is a natural source of vitamin C, which is known to reduce the appearance of fine lines and skin discolorations.

Contains: Wild Rose oil, Vitamin C, Baobab gel, Ginseng extract, Quince extract, provitamin B5.

This serum is probably my favourite KORRES product I received. I have noticed fading of pigmentation and an overall evening and brightening of my skin tone. The texture of the serum is divine and I could even see it making a nice foundation primer if you don't need extra moisturizer on top as I do.

Basil Lemon Body Butter

Extra moisturising cream for dry skin. Also available in tropical: GUAVA, oriental: JASMINE and exotic and quintessentially Greek fragrance, FIG.

Smoothing and moisturizing cream for all over the body, ideal for dry elbows heels and knees.  Shea butter and Quince extract have softening, moisturizing and rejuvenating properties.  Sunflower, Almond and Avocado oils nourish the skin, thus helping to improve elasticity and smoothness.
Contains: Shea butter, Sunflower oil, Almond oil, Avocado Oil, Quince extract, Red Grape polyphenols, and glycerine.

I LOVE this body butter. Since it is in a tube it is really more of a moisturizer but the texture is heavenly. I put this on right before coming to bed one night and hubby said I felt very smooth. I was a little surprised since I'd expected I would feel a bit sticky since I had just applied it but he was right. My skin felt like silk. The Basil Lemon scent is very clean smelling. I can't wait to try some of the other available scents!

A feature I really like about the KORRES line is that on their packaging they have a really nifty formula facts section that makes it really easy to determine if the product may contain any ingredients you may wish to avoid in your skincare.
