The best anti-aging night creams for aging skin

best anti-aging night creams

My current anti aging night cream  (La Prairie anti aging cream) has run out, so I will need to buy a new one. I’m tempted to buy this cream again as I really like it, but I wonder if I should try  another cream. At least I want to know what’s on the market so I can make an informed decision.

Researching for the best anti aging night creams

I did some research on the best anti aging night creams and had a look at reviews across all the major stores. I believe that the best anti aging creams are in the upper end of the market. They tend to have more anti aging ingredients like glycolic acid, vitamin c and peptides. My skin needs all the help it can get, so I’m prepared to spend something in order to make sure that my skin does not age too rapidly.

These anti aging creams made the shortlist:

Skinceuticals anti aging night creamI already use Skinceuticals CE Ferulic and Phyto+ for the day (both of which I’m very happy with) so I am also tempted to buy their night cream. Skinceuticals Renew Overnight-Normal/Dry Skin focusses on skin rejuvenation and hydration. Hydration is definitely something I need since I have quite dry skin. Ingredients include 10% hydroxy acid (for exfoliation), Aloe, chamomile, evening primrose and comfrey extracts to soothe dry skin while deeply moisturizing, restoring a plump, supple texture and youthful tone. This is a very affordable cream that gets great reviews.

skinceuticals age corrector anti-aging night creamAnother cream from Skinceuticals A.G.E. Interrupter has an even richer formulation. Aimed specifically for mature skin it aims to correct any skin damage. Ingredients include blueberry extract, phytosphingosine and Proxylane™ which all work together to correct severe signs of aging, resulting in a more youthful complexion. (update: here is my review of Skinceuticals AGE interrupter)

elisabeth arden anti aging creamElisabeth Arden’s newest anti-aging cream Prevage AntiAging Night Cream by Elizabeth Arden has become popular very quickly and gets raving reviews. This cream concentrates on nourishing and hydrating the skin throughout the night. In the morning your skin will look repaired, refreshed and recovered.

z-bugatti restoration skin treatment anti aging cream

Another cream with raving reviews is Z-Bigatti Re-Storation Skin Treatment. An all in one cream that combines a lot of anti-aging ingredients like hydroxy acids, vitamins and antioxidants. This anti aging cream aims to reduce appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and retore skin clarity and elasticity.  This cream is not cheap but according to many well worth the money and can be used day and night.

Dr brandt r3p cream for anti agingDr Brandt r3p Cream for anti-aging is a physician grade anti-aging night cream that aims to speed up the removal of dead skin cells, in order for you new fresh skin to shine through and give you a healthy and radiant youthful complexion. It also reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This cream is also really good for sun spots and can help restore damage from overexposure to the sun. Due to the high concentration of active ingredients like  polypeptides and antioxidants this is not a budget option, but this cream can give fast results.

La Prairie anti-aging creamAs mentioned I have used La Prairie Anti Aging Night Cream for a while and I’m very tempted to buy it again (if you are interested, you can read my review of La Prairie anti-aging night cream). I love the silky touch smell and believe that it has helped my skin to stay subtle. This cream prevents skin damage at a cellular level and revitalises the skin.

My decision

These are all very good anti-aging creams and it’s very difficult to choose. However, since I have chosen some Skinceuticals products for my dayly skincare, I decided to go with the A.G.E. Interrupter. My skin needs some serious help so I will give this anti-aging cream a try.

All the best,
