REVIEW: Johnson's Rehydrating Night Cream For Normal Skin ...

It’s been a LONG time since I’ve blogged and I apologise, but the work load from uni is getting ridiculous and taking up all my time with it. But I’m back for the time being, with a few little updates – the first being this review of Johnson’s Rehydrating Night Cream For Normal Skin.

I’m starting to run low on cash, so I haven’t been able to try some of the new face night creams that I would have preferred – however, beauty doesn’t have to be designer and expensive which is proven with this recent purchase of mine.

Price & Packaging
I’ve never used anything other than baby lotion and earbuds by Johnson’s, so I didn’t really know what to expect with this night cream. It’s packaged in a little glass tub holding 50ml, with a little lid coloured the signature baby pink (same as the paper packaging). It was cute, and reminded me of babies (like most Johnson’s products). It’s priced at £4.07 – that plus points added to my Boots advantage card made it a sure buy.

The product
I had a choice of two different night creams, one for normal skin, and one for dry skin. I browsed the Boots website before I went in store to purchase, and I ordinarily was meant to go for the one for dry skin, but I was in a rush when it came down to it, and I purchased the one for normal skin. I don’t really have terribly dry skin – I just think it can do with some extra moisturising if it’s there! The only difference I noticed was that the one for dry skin had pro-vitamin B5, known to smooth skin, but hey! What’s done is done.

The box says the cream is meant to replenishes essential moisture lost during the day whilst caring for normal skin with skin loving minerals known to restore skin vitality and Glycerine – known to help support your skin’s hydration overnight for beautifully soft, refreshed skin – and boy did it! I love this product! (so do most people who’ve reviewed this product).

The Smell
Not only did the product have an amazing smell to it – [which I kind of expected, seeing as it is Johnson's, a company who's had years of practice at making beautiful smelling baby products] – so I was really drawn to it. It was a light, refreshing smell – a bit like that new born baby smell, just divine.

The texture
The cream itself is really light and fluffy, like the smell of it. I only used a small dab on my face and neck, and it sunk into my skin really easily and made it feel smooth straight away. It doesn’t leave any oily or greasy feeling to my face, and it seemed to continue working its magic as I fell asleep because it left me with baby butt skin in the morning as well!

That’s the only job I needed for this cream to do, seeing as I use a different day cream in the morning, so I’m not sure how long the softness lasts. If anything though, you should really have a day AND night cream.

I’m definitely going to continue using Johnson’s Rehydrating Night Cream for a while. It’s become one of my favourites – who said you need expensive designer products for the best results, eh?

Rate: 9/10 - I really can’t find anything bad about this product. Price/smell/affect on my skin is all great!

Purchase Johnson’s Rehydrating Night Cream for £4.07 at any good drugstore or online.
