Johnson's Rehydrating Night Cream « This Sarah

I had been noticing a few dry patches on the top of my cheeks recently that my normal daily moisturiser just was not budging. It would fix it temporarily but then they’d reappear so I figured I needed something a bit thicker, which is when I decided to invest in a night cream instead. Never having used a night cream before, I didn’t want to spend too much on it so purchased the Johnson’s Daily Essentials Rehydrating Night Cream for Normal Skin for the small sum of £4.07.

I made sure I went for a ‘rehydrating’ cream rather than a ‘moisturising’ one as I’ve previously read that rehydrating creams works to completely fix dry patches by rehydrating the skin whereas moisturising ones just tend to work on the surface to cover them. Although this is for normal skin and mine’s quite combination, I’ve found it hasn’t made my skin any oilier/greasier so don’t let that put you off at all.

The cream comes in a nice sturdy glass jar which I love as it makes it feel that bit more luxurious rather than a tube. I know people can be funny about jars as they’re not as hygienic as tubes but since I only use this after cleansing, I figure my fingers are clean enough not to worry about it.

As you can see, the cream is lovely and thick which is ideal for a night cream as you can just lather it on and not have to worry about makeup on top or anything. The cream feels really nice to put on, especially after cleansing, it feels quite cool and soothing and I now look forward to putting it on at night! In terms of my dry patches, I found that this night cream has got rid of them completely after only a couple of days which I’m amazed at. If I forget to use it, I can definitely see the difference in my skin the next morning.

Overall, this has been a fantastic buy and I’m not sure how I managed before it!
