OH MY GOOOOOODDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD LET ME FEEL BETTER.
CAN’T BEAR THIS ILLNESS ANYMORE.
Okay rant over.
I’m a compulsive hand washer, I actually have a phobia of germs and my worst nightmare would be touching something that someone with a gross sweaty hand has touched prior. So I wash my hands A LOT. As soon I get off the tube, as soon I get in the house. All the time (no wonder my immune system is shot). So unsurprisingly my hands look far more weathered than they really should. I swear they are even beginning to get crepey. :/
Hand creams in the past have been nice, but I’ve yet to see any real long lasting improvements past the initial applying stage. Or if there was a good hand cream that did have long term healing/helping effects, it was just too greasy for daily out and about use (warm moisture makes the germs stick more, remember!). That was until I found these two beauties.. I now have the perfect hand cream set up and have noticed a big improvement since implementing them both daily and frequently.Rodial Glam Balm Hand
Well this is just delicious, it smells heavenly (Shea Butter) and is a dream to apply. Rich but not so greasy that it just stays on the surface of the skin; it sinks in amazingly well after a second or two. Would have no probs touching a touch screen thingy after applying this (and often do).I keep this as my night cream, and it lives on my bedside table. I apply it after brushing my teeth, washing my face, etc, and getting into bed (on my hands only, obvs!). Probably one of things I enjoy most about my bed time ritual. It is so lovely that I would use it during the day also except for one small thing – it has no SPF! Which brings me nicely to product number two..
Paula’s Choice Resist Anti-Ageing Hand Cream (with SPF 30)
This is my day, on the go, lives in my bag, hand cream. It actually is almost as luxurious in quality as the Rodial one, but doesn’t smell as lush (not bad smelling, mind!) and takes maybe an extra second to sink in. I don’t revel in applying it, like I do with my Rodial one, but it is amazing for being uber rich, quick absorbing and jam packed with USEFUL ingredients and benefits. Mostly, anti-oxidents and an actual functional broad spectrum SPF count. None of these pathetic SPF 8′s. What is the point of SPF 8, anyway? Such a pointless gesture you may as well not even bother including it.
Long term use will shield hands from environmental damage, brown discolouration whilst increasing collagen production. Sounds like a winner, right?
Totally loving my hand cream set up at the mo, need to invest in another Paula’s Choice one to keep by the kitchen sink, then I’ll be sorted for every situation (and yes, I am toying with getting one for each bathroom, too).
Rodial Glam Balm is available from www. Rodial.co.uk, priced £39.99. Paula’s Choice Resist Ultimate Anti-Ageing Hand Cream is available from www.PaulaChoice.co.uk for a more purse friendly price of £19.
